Hi, my name is Rashid Jarrell. I am originally from Rochester, New York, but have lived in Connecticut for the past 5 years. I love movies, my family, good friends and orange juice. Being a stay-at-home father has giving me great subjects to practice on---my kids. They have been my greatest inspiration and I am always carrying my camera with me, chasing the light, because that is what I love to do.

I have had the pleasure to shoot some great photos of birthdays, weddings, nature, family portraits, children, sports, models, animals and so forth. I honestly can say that I enjoy what I do an look forward to making creative choices each time I take a photograph.

Growing up, I realized that we did not own a camera and I did not have the ability to enjoy the journey that was my life.  I always believed that you can create a story from a person's pictures.

I’m certain that my passion for photography is noticeable. What brings me joy is the ability to create a story with the images that I get to shoot. My goal is to bring the situation to life and add my own creative spin to what is going to be a great moment in time. I relish every detail of your story. Each time I am welcomed into those vulnerable moments, somewhere in between the handshake and the farewell, I am a grateful observer. And in an instant, preserving a familiar glance, a dimple, or a smile. That’s the place I want to be, creating ART from the moments in between.

In the beginning or in the end, it all comes down to you and your memories. That’s what I’m here for, to preserve those precious moments you want to remember for a lifetime. After all, each moment only happens once in your life….don’t forget it. My wish for you fine readers is that my work will inspire you to look at life a little differently, pick up your camera and go for a walk or maybe even hire me to photograph an event.
